| | Kasey and I have been enjoying the nice weather. We went for a walk to The Dog House and to visit Nanny. It took us 2 hours! That sounds impressive but half that time we were shopping and visiting. | comments: Leave a comment |

| I am out of the apartment this weekend!
House/dog sitting at my parents.
This is great! Weather is supposed to be sunny and spring like with temperatures of 18C/64F on Saturday. I have big ambitions, like setting up the patio swing and going for a long walk with Kasey. Any backyard activity that my apartment can not provide, sounds good to me! | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Hurray, I have updated my website! Slowly but surely I am going through my to do list. Maybe next is the remainder of the wedding thank you's. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Today at work I get paid double time and a half! Hurray for extra mula!
Isn't that what Easter is all about? | comments: Leave a comment |
| | I got my confirmation and, what do you know, It is booked under the name Knauff. I personally do not have a problem with that. However there may be complicatiions when boarding. So I called to change. It took a hour and a half but, as luck would have it they gave me extra points in the end. I think. I will have to wait and see my credit card statement first too see how much was charged, then reversed, then put on again. I am hopful it is less was charged the second time round. | comments: Leave a comment |
| I finally got off my ass and booked my flight. I know I have told everybody that I am leaving June 2nd. Which was the plan, however air miles did not like that date. Apparently, June is there "high" season.
Blah.
They told me it would be cheaper if I just called westjet and booked with them. However I am stubborn and refused to pay $150 more then I anticipated. The only way I could fly cheaper is if I left in there low season. Funny thing is there "low" season ends May 31st. Yup. So I threw caution to the wind, and said I want to leave that day. Cool so now I am paying what I expected and it is still less then Westjet. My only complaint is that I am flying aircanada. Air miles did not have any westjet seats available. So now I am flying AirCanada, which I think that means Tango.
No worries. I am still coming home the 9th of June. Apparently the price has no baring on what day you fly home.
Ok. Enough of my babbling.
Amanda
PS Ray I still have hopes of seeing you on June second. We shall work something out | comments: Leave a comment |
| | It has been brought to my attention that Jeff Howie and my dad, Greg Knauff look similar. Similar enough to be called brothers? | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Today at work, I won at watch. Crazy. There was no contest. I did not waste any money on postage or even know about it. It just came by Purolater. SelectCanadianHotels.com just wanted to awknowlege my efforts on selling gift certificates, this past year. Wow! I sold a total of four. Three of which were a christmas gifts for my parents. | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Today I had free time. It was used wisely. I walked to work. Finally, there was sunny weather for me to do it. The temperature was not the hottest, -14C (6.8F). Sad to say, the walk was longer then last year, but I did it. I loved it. I will probably do it again. | comments: Leave a comment |

| I got to pet three different dogs at work. It was like I had my own personal Canine parade.
So this week was a week of gifts. I got a lovely calender of aboriginal people. It is beautiful, and very colourful. I love it!
Then today, a very nice man is moving to Edmonton with his wife. They both recently retired. Apparently they all of a sudden didn't have enough room in there car for a cooler. It is brand new with tons of those ice packs. I ended up giving it too a co-worker. I don;t have the room and she was eyeing it up. | comments: Leave a comment |
| | I decided to have Brad over for dinner, again. I thought it was proper, seeing as his birthday is in a few days. Then I realized I should be extra nice and have my parents over, too! For the four of us, I made, garden salad, fresh bread, potates and roast beef. For dessert strawberry mousse. I thought that something pink was appropriate seeing as it is Valentines Day! | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Today, I celebrated not only my birthday, but Karen's as well. We went cosmic bowling! Then followed it up with food at Boston Pizza. Y-u-m-m-y! | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Today is my birthday. Normally, I would describe this day as fun and magical. This year, hot and icky. I had to call in work, sick. The cold and cough were not going to stop me, from going in. However the fever did. YUCK. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Since July, Kelly and I have wanted to go to the "Make a Mug Store." This trip we were finally able to live that dream. I was a close one, too! One week later and the store would be out of business.
Later that evening I took a "trolley" up queen street. Straight to the Korean Grill. The food there was quite yummy. I dined with Kate, Stu and some of his friends. This restaurant was unique because, you got to grill the food right at your table! | comments: Leave a comment |
| Today I moved out of the hotel and into Kelly's place. We mostly hung around Kelly's apartment and explored the Beaches. There are some really nice store by her. Plus a small, but beautiful Public Library.
Being the gracious guest I made dinner for everyone. Tonight it is chili with corn bread. Julie was pretty excited about the whole thing. That is until, I told her it would not be ready until 9pm. She was hungry, and quite unpleasant. | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Today was my big day! I get to see Kelly, and live the Toronto life. Every Northwestern Ontario's Dream! She has a big day planned for me. First I check into my Victorian Mansion Hotel. It was the Clarion Shelby. Very nice. Then I set out to see the big city. After two subway rides, I was downtown. Exploring Eatons Centre and the Bay. After only a few hours and a lunch later, I hopped on a "trolley" and headed to Kelly's work. Her building was easy to find, thanks to her descriptive instructions. I did arrive a little early, but that just left me with extra time to play with Bondi. He likes to play fetch. A LOT! During the evening Julie met up with us. We felt the need to become cultured and headed to the Royal Ontario Museum. That quickly was followed up with some drinks at Gabby's. | comments: Leave a comment |

| | It has been almost three weeks since Rayanne has left. I have yet to receive on postcard or picture. Oh sure, there have been emails. But everyone else, even her mom, got the same one. So far there has been nothing that makes me special that I can hold in my hand and, quite possibly, show others. Like she has promised. tsk. tsk. | comments: Leave a comment |
